Rooftop solar panels boosts house prices

In Energy Bills, Heating, Solar Panel Systems, Thermodynamics

Solar panels and smart technology are on the wish list for potential buyers.

That was the conclusion of a recent study by Barclays.

The Digital Homes Report found that people would pay up to £2,000 more for a home with rooftop solar panels to provide electricity, hot water and central heating.

Fibre-optic cables for fast internet access and smart meters to monitor energy usage were also popular choices.

Almost a third of people surveyed as part of the Digital Homes Report believe that investing in technology such as this will increase the value of their property.

Positive benefits

Meanwhile, the Solar Trade Association is now calling for even more research about the true value of rooftop solar panels.

The organisation points out that a home with solar panels has lower energy bills and is cheaper to run.

On top of this is the fact that an income can be generated thanks to the Feed-in-Tariff.

We’re not surprised by the findings of the report.

After all, solar power can provide a total solution for a homeowner who wants to become self-sufficient and live a greener lifestyle too.

Our environmentally friendly solar thermodynamics systems can even provide hot water, heating for your pool all year round and your central heating too.

So it makes sense for all of these positive factors to be reflected in house prices.
