Revealed: Top 20 features buyers want in a home

WE’VE RECENTLY stumbled on a survey that reveals the top 20 features buyers look for in a home.

The report was commissioned by GoCompare.com Mortgages.

Not surprisingly for us, warmth and energy efficiency are some of the most important factors for property seekers.

Central heating and double glazing top the list of essential features.

A good energy rating and cavity wall insulation are also seen as highly desirable.

Half of the 2,000 adults surveyed stated that energy efficiency ratings were important when it came to deciding whether or not to buy a house.

Meanwhile, a garden, off-road parking and an en-suite were all named in the survey.

The report also showed that people value technology, with good broadband and a reliable mobile signal all making the top 20 list.
